S&A Clinic: Who are the Different Types of Agents in Our Network?

  Publisher : Stephanie Clark   07 April 2025 06:15

One question we frequently receive from schools is: ‘Why do you say you have 630 member agents, but then mention that your newsletter reaches 6,000+ agents?’ This is an excellent question, so let’s explore these key distinctions.

Member agents: Direct access relationships

Our 630 member agents have explicitly requested profiles on the Schools & Agents platform. By doing so, they’ve given permission for schools to access their contact information—including email addresses, phone numbers, and websites—and to reach out directly. With your S&A membership, whether it's Light, Premium, or Platinum, your school gains immediate access to these 630 agents through your member login. This allows you to proactively contact agents in specific regions when planning recruitment trips or partnerships, or even cold-call them if you like as all their contact information is available on their profile for you to use and have access to.

Newsletter and social media subscribers: Broader awareness

The S&A newsletter reaches over 6,000 agents who prefer not to be cold-called by institutions. These agents want to stay informed about industry developments and member schools’ activities, but prefer to initiate contact themselves when interested in a programme or partnership. It’s important to note that only Premium and Platinum member schools benefit from reaching this expanded audience through our monthly newsletters. This is because Premium and Platinum members send us articles on a monthly or weekly basis (depending on their membership) which we then publish and disseminate on our site, social media and newsletter, reaching our extended network of agents.

When agents find your offerings interesting, they click through to learn more or request an introduction. What’s more, with a combined following of over 25,000 across our social platforms (particularly strong on LinkedIn), our social media presence extends your reach even further. When we share one of your articles on our social media channels, we tag your school so that agents reading the article can go straight from our social media channels to yours, hence facilitating contact between the school and the agent —again, this privilege is enjoyed by our Premium and Platinum members.

Understanding these distinctions can help you make informed decisions about your Schools & Agents membership tier. While Light members only access our member agents, Premium and Platinum members benefit from all three channels—maximising your visibility to agents worldwide. Ready to expand your agent network? Drop us a line today to learn how we can widen your institution’s reach, without taking any commission from your agent partnerships.
