Schools & Agents Bulletin: Using Photos for Lasting Industry Connections

  Publisher : Stephanie Clark   30 September 2024 09:00

Hi everyone, welcome back to another Schools & Agents Bulletin highlights. In our recent posts, we’ve been exploring how to make a lasting impression during meetings and write effective follow-up emails after industry events. Here, we’d like to delve deeper into a simple, yet powerful, technique to enhance your networking efforts: sharing photos.

Use the power of a simple selfie

One strategy that has proven particularly effective for Schools & Agents is the use of photos, specifically selfies. These casual snapshots can be a game-changer in your post-event networking approach. So, during industry events, make it a point to take plenty of photos with people you meet.

Maximise social media impact

After the event, don’t let those photos languish in your phone’s gallery. Instead, upload the photos to your social media platforms and tag the people you connected with during the event. This approach will serve a dual purpose – to gently remind contacts of your interactions and establish a connection on a more personal level.

Create memorable follow-up emails

Once you’ve shared these photos across your social media channels, don’t forget to send out follow-up emails too. It’s not one or the other – for maximum impact, you should be doing both. When emailing, consider attaching a photo you took together at the event and including a brief, unique anecdote related to the photo.

Photos aren’t just mementos; they’re valuable networking tools. By combining email communication with social media interaction, you’re creating multiple touchpoints that make your impression more lasting and help you stand out from the crowd.

That’s all for today, but keep an eye on our socials for more industry-related tips and tricks coming soon. And in the meantime, don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need any further guidance with your international education marketing strategy!
