Schools & Agents Bulletin: The Best Social Media Channel for Connecting with Industry Partners

  Publisher : Stephanie Clark   07 October 2024 09:00

Hi everyone, welcome back to another Schools & Agents Bulletin highlights. We’ve recently been giving tips on maintaining strong post-event connections with industry partners via email and social media. In this article, we share the key takeaways from our latest video on making strong connections with industry professionals on social media.

LinkedIn: The professional powerhouse

Despite Schools & Agents being active on Facebook and Instagram, we’ve actually found that the majority of our industry connections come through LinkedIn. This platform offers the perfect blend of professionalism and social interaction, so we would recommend that you prioritise LinkedIn for industry networking.

Make the most of your LinkedIn presence

So how can you use LinkedIn to foster strong connections after industry events? Here are the key things you should be doing:

  • Share event photos: After industry events, post follow-up photos on your LinkedIn profile.
  • Add a personal touch: Use your personal professional profile, not just your company page.
  • Create consistent engagement: Consider regular photo sharing features, like Schools & Agents’ Throwback Thursday posts.
  • Connect strategically: Link with both people’s personal profiles and their company pages.

Don’t forget to tag and share

Once you’ve connected with industry partners on LinkedIn, tag them and share photo memories to create a more personal and engaging connection. This will help you build and maintain relationships weeks, months and even years after industry events are over.

That’s all for now, but stay tuned for more international education industry news and tips coming soon. Until then, feel free to reach out to us if you need expert help with any part of your digital marketing strategy.
