fRilingue's Working Week in Serbia

Published EDU-WorldWide on Friday, June 8, 2018

Here at Frilingue, we’ve been using remote work for over two years; while we do have our two official offices in Switzerland and Serbia, we also have staff working remotely from France, Brazil, Germany  and Russia, with all of our staff being afforded the freedom to work from abroad at least a few weeks or months during the year.

While the freedom of remote work suits as well and supplies us with a happy workforce, it is important for us all to work together in the same place at least 2 or 3 times a year, which is why we plan ‘working weeks’ every few months to help with with team building and to assess and improve our workflow.

For our most recent working week, we decided to go to the small and picturesque riverside town of Novi Becej in Serbia, where Ljubisa, our CEO, grew up. We were received and afforded the welcoming and homely hospitality of his parents, who kept us well fed, well rested and well watered throughout the week.

Following a week of work and discussions on the terrace, boat rides on the river and food and drinks on the riverbank, we headed to Novi Sad to enjoy the weekend exploring Serbia’s second city.

This week it’s business as usual for all of us at Frilingue, only with happier hearts and fuller bellies, as we’re knuckling down and getting ready for the start of our Summer Language Camps in Switzerland and Serbia.

Hope to see some of you there!
