Math contests are a great way for students to sharpen their problem-solving skills, build confidence in their ability to tackle difficult problems, and get creative with mathematics.
Last week, our students had the chance to participate in The Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics Contests 2022, two contests designed by The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing at the University of Waterloo to give students the opportunity to not only practice what they have learned in a fun way but also challenge themselves further.
Our group of four grade 12 students and two grade 9 students took on the challenge with enthusiasm, calculating the answers to the given problems with great precision. Well done, Merrick Prep Mathletes!
