High School in the USA organises international fest

The world came to Tennessee this past month at Concord’s first ever International Fest. Led by our very own International students, Multi-culture club, and high school Spanish classes, this school-wide event took place on April 4. International Fest exhibited the unique and often unfamiliar traditions from around the world through food, crafts, and music.

With 13 different countries represented, students were able to engage with foreign cultures without ever leaving Knoxville. From tasting Moroccan tea to using Chopsticks, students had the chance to deepen their understanding of the complexity and beauty that exists around the world.  Each country carefully created an interactive element that allowed students to not just learn about a particular culture but to experience a small part of it. Crowd favorites included a bottle-cap race from Spain, pretzels and language learning from Germany, llama crafts from Peru, chocolate from Switzerland, and a traditional game from Chile.

Concord is honored to welcome students from around the world every year, and is excited that these students were able to share their heart culture with us through International Fest.
