28th Annual Eaquals International Conference

Published on Saturday, March 9, 2019

It has been announced that Professor Fernando Galván OBE, of the University of Alcalá, will officially open the 28th Annual Eaquals International Conference, which will be held in Madrid this April. In addition, Eaquals will welcome Maureen McGarvey, Gordon Stobart, Martin Fellenz and Herbert Puchta, who will deliver the conference plenary sessions on the subjects of high-performance management and leadership and professional learning for teachers.

The conference is being staged at the Hotel Melia Barajas Madrid from 11 - 13 April. It will bring to Madrid over 250 delegates, from 30 different countries, who represent language schools, publishers, exam boards, national quality associations and other cultural bodies. In Spain, there are eleven Eaquals accredited member schools, including two centres located in this year’s host city; EF Centro Internacional de Idiomas Madrid and International House Madrid.

The conference provides practical training and development, together with a networking opportunity for education professionals with a shared commitment to quality.

The Executive Director of Eaquals, Lou McLaughlin, said:

“The conference grows each year both in terms of numbers and quality and this year in particular promises to be one of the best in terms of topics and areas being presented and scrutinised within the lens of international education. We are delighted to announce that the conference boasts a Spanish strand this year, showcasing the talent in that field and highlighting the linguistic diversity and expertise within the Eaquals membership”

The diversity within the conference strands provides a unique opportunity to cater for all professional involved in the international language teacher sector. This is reflected in the attendees that we welcome on an annual basis – academic teams, management teams, sales & marketing teams, owners & directors. The level of knowledge, expertise and shared best practice is something not to be missed.
