WeChat is not the most commonly-used platform in the international education industry, however, one look at its statistics would probably make you debate whether it should be used more or not. Do we recommend using WeChat? Rather than giving a yes / no answer, we prefer to focus on facts and numbers as well as demographics. We find that those kinds of figures speak volumes!
So here it goes. The bottom line, in our opinion, is that if China is one of your target markets, then you should certainly consider being on WeChat. In fact, 90% of China’s population use WeChat, and like we always say, when it comes to social media, you need to be where your target audience is.
