We'be been telling you about it. We've been waiting for it, and it has finally arrived....rather snowier than expected, but as the saying goes, cold hands, warm heart. And this is just what StudyWorld London is....a lovely event with just the right amount of delegates, where you get to talk to everyone present. It is also an event that's organised by a lovely group of people. In a few words, StudyWorld London is just like we left it pre-pandemic in 2019.
This is the first face-to-face even that's being organised since that horrible period, and we are honoured to be here celebrating our industry with everyone else.
StudyWorld Spring kicked off last night with a welcome reception at the Hilton London Bankside Hotel, where the event is being held. It was also an opportunity to celebrate the strong and resilient women in international education, given that yesterday also happened to be Women's Day! Speaking at the welcome reception, Jodie Gray, Chief Executive at English UK expressed her delight at hosting "more than 200 educators, service providers and international agents for two days of friendly focused networking."
"StudyWorld and its incarnations have been connecting UK educators and international agent partners since 1969," she said, adding that throughout these past years "we have experienced countless transformations, none more so than in the three-year period since 2020."
Following a relaxing evening (at least for most of us!), this morning we're back at this gorgeous venue as the first meetings started just over half an hour ago. And just like that, you know the drill! Everyone's at their tables, agents moving round from one school to the other. Service providers are surrounding the meetings hall...and everyone is picking up where they left off all these months ago.
It's so nice to be back here. Thank you StudyWorld for having us!
