Cairns College of English & Business (CCEB), one of the leading education providers (ELICOS/VET) in Queensland, has acquired Cairns Kangarooms, a well-established, purpose-built, premium student accommodation complex comprising of 40 bedrooms. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CCEB will add Cairns Kangaroom’s student accommodation to its portfolio, expanding its offerings of premium education products. Ueli Stauffer and Frank Lanza, co-owners of Cairns College of English Pty Ltd, have stated: “CCEB understands the importance of maintaining our reputation for high-quality education services with a vast range of product offerings.
Student accommodation is the last missing piece in completing our “one-stop shop” as an education leader offering a boutique-style product business model, which we originally envisaged 14 years ago. We have been impressed by the excellent construction quality of the accommodation complex together with how popular and well-run an operation it is. We immediately jumped at the opportunity to acquire Cairns Kangarooms when it was presented to us. We would like to thank the founders for allowing CCEB to take over their “baby” which they created and built up over the last 5 years”.
“We are delighted that, CCEB, a local & well-respected business has purchased Cairns Kangarooms. It is the perfect fit, and we know they will continue to grow what we set out to create, a safe, welcoming, and quality home for students to stay in while studying in Cairns”.
