Let’s start with why it is necessary for a school management system to have a host family function. A host family function can be an important component of a school management system, particularly for schools with a high number of international students. The role of a host family function is to match students with local families who are willing to host them during their time at school.
This is divided into two parts.
Step 1: Go to Accommodation > Accommodation Search > Choose Family
Step 2: Go to Accommodation Visit > Add Entry
Step 3: Enter Date, Time and Visit By then Hit ‘Refresh’
Step 4: Dashboard alerts you of the visit in that current week
Step 5: During the visit - Log on from your phone on Intrinsiq
Step 6: Go to the Accommodation Visit Entry
Step 7: Mark all the necessary checkboxes, write any reviews
Step 8: Mark if followup is required
Step 9: Once the visit is completed, check the ‘Visit Complete‘ mark and enter the completion date. System saves data automatically
This function serves as a way to book visits while on call with new and existing host families and homestay hosts. This enables the schools to set dates and times for visits and also to track any visits you have in that current week through the dashboard, so as not to lose track of appointments you’ve made.
Schools can update homestay host reviews live during the visit. That way they can rest assured that they do not forget any of the information in the time it takes to get back to the office and to their computer. The school can inform Intrinsiq in advance if there are any features that need to be added and we can make sure to add them.
