The ACET school, which will be rebranded as CES CORK, becomes the ninth year-round centre for CES, adding to its original Dublin centre and five locations in the United Kingdom, as well as two in Canada.

Justin Quinn, CEO of CES, stated “We are acquiring 100 per cent of the trading business from Joelle Code the ACET Managing Director. The acquisition is a very friendly deal, and the importance of stability and reputation has always been top of the agenda.” He explained, “For CES it will be an excellent acquisition, ACET is an IALC & EAQUALS school adding to the CES quality brand.”

The ACET school was established in 1976 and is one of the founding members of MEI in Ireland and features 16 year-round classrooms, rising to 25 in the summer. ACET also operates a junior summer residential programme in the University College Cork. ACET was established by Odile Mileu and has put learning English in Cork on the map.

Commenting on the reasons for the expansion, Justin said, “Over the last number of years, many of the agents that we work with across the world have asked us to open a school in Cork as they want to work with CES across several locations in Ireland.”

Justin claimed that a big part of the move to Cork was to expand the CES brand to another region of Ireland. The ACET team will remain in business with CES and continue over 40 years of continuity in the EFL sector. Jonathan Quinn, who did his degree in Cork and whose wife is from Cork, will oversee this exciting project for CES.
