S&A Bulletin: A Practical Tip for Maximising Your User-Generated Content

  Publisher : Stephanie Clark   10 March 2025 06:50

Hi everyone, and welcome back to another Schools & Agents Bulletin highlights. In our recent video bulletin, we explored the valuable role testimonials play in content creation strategy, offering practical tips for schools, agents, and service providers in the international education sector.

The power of user-generated content

User-generated content (UCG), particularly testimonials, can really enhance your content creation efforts, especially during those challenging moments when you’re struggling for fresh ideas. By utilising positive experiences from satisfied students or clients, you can produce authentic content that your audience will love.

Finding the right people

The first step is identifying people who have had positive experiences with your services. These could be happy students, satisfied employees, pleased service providers, or clients with whom you’ve built a strong relationship. Anyone who has benefited from your services and is willing to share their experience can provide valuable testimonial content.

Setting up video testimonials

First make sure to check if people would be comfortable providing a video testimonial. Then, when you get the go-ahead, ask them to simply record a short, two-minute video clip on their smartphone, where they discuss their experience with your services. These unscripted testimonials often carry more weight than polished marketing materials.

Doubling up on your content

Once you receive a video testimonial, you can transform it into multiple content pieces, by:

  • Uploading the full video as a Reel on social media.
  • Extracting your favourite quotes to create shareable image posts.
  • Pairing quotes with photos of the client (with permission) or their logo.
  • Creating a series of shorter snippets highlighting different aspects of their experience.

With this approach, a single two-minute testimonial can easily generate multiple content pieces for your various marketing channels! That’s all for today, but, as always, reach out to us if you have any questions about this, and stay tuned for more international education marketing tips coming soon.
