Webster Geneva Campus Strengthens Global Connections at CIS Annual Summit

  Publisher : Bernice   19 November 2025 06:55

The annual Council of International Schools (CIS) summit once again proved to be an invaluable gathering for international education professionals. Under the leadership of Jane Larsson, Claire Worland and Katryna Snow, this year’s event brought together counsellors, university representatives and sector specialists to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships and reflect on the evolving landscape of global education.

For Webster Geneva Campus, the summit offered not only exceptional networking opportunities but also a chance to engage closely with our colleagues from American Universities Abroad (AUA)—a consortium of US-accredited universities located across Europe. Collectively, AUA institutions collaborate on student recruitment initiatives throughout the year, responding to the growing global demand for an American-style education delivered within Europe, with its hallmark flexibility of majors, minors and transferable academic credits.

Agents, counsellors and families increasingly seek institutions that combine the academic rigour of a US curriculum with the cultural, linguistic and professional advantages of a European setting. The universities represented within AUA—including Webster Geneva Campus—are uniquely positioned to meet these expectations.

Our joint meeting during the summit was particularly productive. In the coming weeks, the group will be launching an updated version of the AUA website, which will feature direct contact details for representatives leading student recruitment at each institution. This improvement aims to ensure easier communication for counsellors, agents, parents and prospective students around the world.

We encourage you to share this update—and to reach out to any interested partners—who may wish to learn more about the benefits of studying at universities where liberal arts remain at the core of Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. AUA institutions regularly coordinate joint virtual seminars, as well as collaborative high school visits, highlighting our shared commitments to student success, personalised learning and global citizenship.

The CIS conference itself opened with a bold keynote address and concluded with what has become one of the sector’s most pressing themes: adaptability in education. As artificial intelligence continues to reshape learning and student services at every level, universities must remain future-focused and agile. The institutions within AUA are well positioned to confront these emerging challenges while continuing to deliver a meaningful, human-centred educational experience.

For agents supporting families seeking a high-quality American education in Europe, Webster Geneva Campus—and our AUA partners—represent a trusted and forward-thinking choice. We look forward to continuing the conversation and deepening our collaboration in the months ahead.
