Applications are now open for guaranteed on-campus housing among new first-time freshmen at Tennessee Tech University for the 2025-2026 academic year.
“Living on campus at Tennessee Tech is the best way to experience all that our university community has to offer,” said Mike Reagle, executive director of University Housing & Residential Life at Tech. “Our residence halls give students a deeper sense of community and connection, putting them right at the center of campus life."
New first-time freshmen at Tech are required to live on campus, with certain exceptions. To make the housing application process as seamless as possible for new students, first-time freshmen are guaranteed available housing for the 2025-2026 academic year through May 1, 2025. Students are encouraged to apply early to lock-in their preferred residence hall and roommate assignments.
“For first-time freshmen, we want to give them peace of mind to know that they have a place waiting for them on-campus here at Tech,” added Reagle. “Offering guaranteed housing means one less thing an incoming freshman student and their family has to worry about.”
The Office of Residential Life offers multiple housing options to meet students’ needs, including themed residence halls tailored to students’ majors and interests. Multiple residence halls, including New Hall North and New Hall South, offer en suite restrooms, while Tech Village offers apartment-style living for sophomores, juniors and seniors.
Tech’s on-campus housing application takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Incoming first-time freshmen can access the application at https://www.tntech.edu/reslife/apply.
