Trine University invites the public to explore cutting-edge student innovation at its eighth annual STEM Research and Design Symposium. The event took place from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, on the concourse of the MTI Center on the Angola campus.
This free event showcased 48 projects by students from the university’s biomedical engineering, exercise science, electrical engineering, and chemical engineering programs. These projects include freshman departmental assignments, undergraduate research initiatives, and the prestigious Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU).
The symposium not only highlighted the creativity and skill of Trine students but also provided them with valuable experience in presenting their work in a professional setting. Attendees could engage directly with the students, learning about their innovative research and development efforts, and they also had the chance to participate in selecting the People’s Choice Awards. Additional honors, such as the Best REU Project and Best Undergraduate Research, were decided by a panel of judges.
