Women’s football is experiencing unprecedented global growth, with more young women than ever before pursuing their passion for the beautiful game. From grassroots to the professional stage, opportunities are expanding, and Malta has become a hub for aspiring players who want to combine education, training and international experiences.
At the heart of this movement is SUFC International Football Academy, which welcomes female players from around the world to develop their skills on and off the pitch. The Academy offers a unique environment where international students can pursue their academic and sporting ambitions while being fully immersed in a supportive, multicultural football community.
Building on this commitment to opportunity and growth, SUFC International Football Academy also opens the door for female students aged 16+ to join Swieqi United FC’s Women’s Futsal team. Participation is completely free, making it accessible to all players who are eager to improve their technical ability, speed and tactical awareness through the fast-paced, high-intensity game of futsal.
The Swieqi United FC Women’s futsal team is already making headlines in Maltese football. Recently crowned Super Cup champions and finishing an impressive second place in the national league, the team has proven its ability to compete at the highest level while providing a platform for players to shine.
International students gain the rare chance to combine academic and athletic growth at the Academy, while also experiencing the excitement and team spirit of Maltese football through futsal.
With women’s football continuing its rapid rise worldwide, SUFC International Football Academy and Swieqi United FC are proud to open doors for the next generation of female players!
