St. Andrew's College: Teacher Training

  Publisher : Bernice   25 February 2026 06:10

As St Andrew’s College continues to grow, we remain committed to supporting not only students, but educators around the world. In response to increasing demand from teachers seeking professional development opportunities in the UK, we are pleased to introduce our new teacher training course.

Developed in collaboration with former Director of Studies Daniella Di Mambro and Cadence Education Consultants, Innovate, Create, Educate: Modern Methodologies for Dynamic Classrooms is a one-week course designed to equip teachers with practical, classroom-ready strategies.

The course focuses on modern English language teaching methodologies and covers key areas including:

  • Lesson planning and learner-centred teaching
  • Error correction and interactive classroom activities
  • The use of AI in the classroom, exploring its role in material design, assessment and student engagement
  • Teacher wellbeing, with sessions on work-life balance and managing the demands of the profession

Practical application is central to the programme. Participants take part in micro-teaching sessions, receive constructive feedback, and engage in collaborative discussions. One afternoon is dedicated to teaching outside the classroom, exploring real-world language use and collecting authentic materials.

The course includes en-suite accommodation, half-board meals, and the option of a full-day excursion. Programmes run in Edinburgh and Colchester, offering participants the opportunity to combine professional development with cultural experience.

You can find full course details on our Teacher Training and Development Courses page.
