The International Campus for Gastronomy & Heritage Crafts “Sharena Fabrika” is a contemporary educational and cultural complex located near Sopot lake, in the village of Golyama Zhelyazna, Bulgaria.

The main partner of the culinary programs is the prestigious French culinary academy FERRANDI Paris. The core professional programs include French and Balkan Cuisine, Bread & Bakery and French Pastry Arts. Graduates receive a certificate from FERRANDI Paris as well as a professional qualification diploma in accordance with the European Qualifications Framework.

The professional training is designed for individuals who wish to dedicate themselves to the culinary arts and build a strong foundation of knowledge and practical skills to support the development of a professional career. In addition to the long-term programs, the campus also offers short professional courses led by guest Bulgarian and international chefs. These short courses are highly practice-oriented and aimed at beginners and enthusiasts, making them ideal for anyone looking to acquire basic skills and culinary inspiration.

The region surrounding Golyama Zhelyazna is a true treasure of lush nature, authentic culture, and deeply rooted history. Situated between the Balkan Mountains and fertile valleys, close to the Sopot lake, the campus is surrounded by a protected natural environment with clean air, tranquility and striking landscapes that naturally encourage focus, creativity, and a truly immersive learning experience.

Local culture and traditions, preserved over centuries, transform education at “Sharena Fabrika” into an experience that goes far beyond the classroom. Participants connect with the authentic rhythm of rural life, the philosophy of slow living and the values of sustainability. The area is renowned for its clean, seasonal produce, local farmers, and traditional recipes, creating an ideal setting for training programs in culinary arts, craftsmanship, and conscious living. The natural surroundings offer a wide range of opportunities for sports, movement, and outdoor activities - hiking and cycling routes, water sports, eco-walks, and team-building experiences - that enrich the curriculum and support the participants’ balanced personal development.

The campus features 12 000 m2 of educational gardens, where specialized modules in permaculture design will be conducted. The goal is to expand knowledge of key principles and sustainable practices for growing clean, high-quality produce.

Alongside its educational activities, “Sharena Fabrika” also develops leisure and retreat programs for amateurs and professionals seeking meaningful rest through culinary experiences, craft workshops, nature walks, and meetings with local producers. This unique combination of nature, culture and contemporary education makes “Sharena Fabrika” an attractive and reliable partner for educational agents seeking meaningful, sustainable and inspiring learning formats.
