At Kings Hall College, we believe that learning English should not only be limited to a classroom setting. Whilst our courses provide the backbone of English language learning for our students, we believe that supplementary activities outside of the classroom are vital in helping students further their understanding of English. Kings Hall College currently offers three FREE academic workshops as part of our social activity programme, these include:

VR Club

An innovative workshop that combines English language learning with virtual reality. Students enter a virtual world where they are prompted to solve tasks and complete missions using English. In this virtual world, students will take on the roll of Bella the bee, a migrant worker bee from Italy who wants to learn English.

IELTS Surgery

A one-to-one workshop that provides students with an opportunity to discuss IELTS tips and techniques with an IELTS teacher. Students are encouraged to discuss a variety of topics relating to all areas of the IELTS exam. This workshop aims to provide students with effective and practical solutions to difficulties that they may face when taking the IELTS exam.

IELTS Club

A group workshop that provides IELTS tips and techniques to students who want to prepare for the IELTS exam. This workshop provides constructive feedback on student responses and challenges students to work together to solve IELTS based activities and tasks.

IT Club

Our IT Club aims to provide students with the technological knowledge that is needed to succeed in a fast-paced, office-based, English-speaking environment. Students will learn how to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively, and will swiftly become adept in creating documents to suit their future career aspirations.

CV Club

Our CV Club aims to provide students with the writing skills required to produce a successful CV. Students will learn how to create engaging and persuasive CVs that highlight their skills and showcase their employability in their chosen field.

University Club

Our University Club aims to provide students with an insight into university life in the U.K. Students will learn about assessments and assignments, end of year exams, social activities, types of university degrees, and the many universities in the U.K.

Email Club

Our Email Club aims to provide students with the writing skills required to produce engaging emails. Students will learn how to write emails for businesses, clients, colleagues, and potential partners. Students will cover a variety of topics and techniques, including how to write persuasively and how to draw engagement.
