  Publisher : Bernice   06 January 2026 07:07

For students who want more than a traditional language course, L’Italiano Porticando in Turin offers a series of combined Italian programmes that blend language learning with deep cultural exploration. These courses are ideal for international education agents seeking high‑quality, experience‑driven options for their clients—programmes that enrich linguistic progress while opening the door to Italy’s artistic, literary, architectural, and musical heritage.

Each combined course pairs the school’s well‑established Standard Italian Course with a specialised cultural module, allowing students to immerse themselves in both the language and the cultural identity of Italy and, more specifically, Turin.

Standard + Italian Literature

For students who love stories, ideas, and the written word, the Standard + Italian Literature course offers a rewarding journey through Italian and Piedmontese authors. Learners read and analyse selected works together with their teacher, gaining insight into literary styles, historical contexts, and regional voices.

Classes are held in small groups to encourage discussion and interpretation. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the weekly hours are reduced from three to two—while the course fee remains unchanged.

Standard + Italian Art

Italy’s artistic legacy is one of the richest in the world, and Turin offers a vibrant cultural scene that continues to evolve. The Standard + Italian Art course provides an accessible overview of major artistic movements and iconic works, with topics often linked to current exhibitions and events in the city.

These group classes help students develop both vocabulary and visual literacy. As with other cultural modules, if the number of participants is low, the class duration is reduced from three to two hours per meeting without affecting the price.

Standard + Italian Architecture

Turin is a city where centuries of architectural history coexist harmoniously—from Roman remains to Baroque palaces, from the first capital of Italy to contemporary urban design. The Standard + Italian Architecture course guides students through the evolution of Italian architectural styles while focusing on Turin’s unique urban identity.

Students explore key works, stylistic features, and historical influences, gaining a deeper appreciation of the city they are studying in. Group classes follow the same flexible structure as the other cultural modules.

Standard + History of Turin

For learners who want to truly understand the city around them, the Standard + History of Turin course is an excellent choice. Covering the Roman Empire, the Baroque period, Italian New Gothic, and modern developments, this course paints a vivid picture of Turin’s transformation over the centuries.

Lectures take place twice a week in the afternoon, each lasting 1.5 hours. The course is recommended for students with at least an A2 level of Italian, ensuring they can comfortably follow the historical narrative.

Standard + Additional Cultural Courses

L’Italiano Porticando also offers a selection of cultural add‑ons that appeal to students with specific interests or creative passions.

A) Standard + Italian Music

This lively course explores Italian music from the 1960s to today, introducing students to influential singers and songwriters who shaped Italy’s musical identity. It’s perfect for learners who enjoy practising Italian through listening—and even singing.

B) Standard + Italian Cinema

Cinema lovers will appreciate this course, which features scenes from iconic Italian films from the 1950s onwards. Students watch, discuss, and analyse key moments in film history, gaining both cultural insight and conversational confidence.

C) Standard + Tango

Turin is one of Europe’s capitals of Argentine tango, and L’Italiano Porticando partners with one of the city’s leading tango schools. Students can take group or individual lessons taught by experienced instructors specialising in tango, Milonga, and Vals.

Classes run from mid‑September to mid‑December and from January to mid‑July, making it easy for agents to match course dates with student availability.
