One College, Every Stage: IDEA College Opens Its October Intake

  Publisher : Bernice   12 June 2026 06:14

With the October intake now open, IDEA College is inviting learners across Malta to find their next step, whatever stage they are starting from. What sets the college apart for local students is not a single flagship course but the breadth of what sits under one roof: a connected ladder of qualifications across multiple fields, built so that each qualification leads naturally into the one above it.

A pathway for every stage

For many learners, the hardest part of returning to study is simply knowing where to begin.

IDEA College anticipates and answers this with a full progression route that runs from Foundation certificates through to Bachelor’s degrees, on to postgraduate certificates, diplomas and Master’s degrees, and all the way up to the Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA). A student can enter at the level that suits them today and keep climbing, without having to switch institutions or start over each time.

Foundation certificates open the door for those who do not yet hold formal entry qualifications; bachelor’s and postgraduate routes build on that base; and the DBA offers a clear apex for experienced professionals who want to research and lead at the highest level.

The principle throughout is continuity: every step is designed to feed the next, so progression feels like a single journey rather than a series of fresh starts.

That ladder is matched by genuine breadth across fields. Business and management, finance and fintech, information technology and artificial intelligence, construction, air transport, health and nursing, social care, education, the business of fashion, and anti-money-laundering compliance all feature in the October offer. This means a learner can not only progress in level, but also broaden or pivot their expertise as their career develops, all within the same institution.

Newly Launched Programmes for October

This intake brings a substantial set of newly launched programmes, spanning business, technology, health and care:

  • MBA, for professionals ready to move into senior management and strategic leadership;
  • Undergraduate Diploma in IT Essentials, a practical entry point into the digital economy and a foundation for further study in technology;
  • Undergraduate Diploma for Care Practitioners, designed for all carers, including those who care for and support children, youths and young adults;
  • M.Sc. in Advancing Nursing Science, for nurses deepening their clinical and research expertise; and
  • M.Sc. in Public Health, responding to growing demand for skilled professionals across Malta’s health sector.

Together, these new programmes track where local employment is heading, and where well-qualified people are most needed.

Returning, and more flexible than ever

Alongside the new arrivals, October sees the relaunch of several established programmes, with flexibility kept firmly in mind for those who are already working. The Master in Educational Leadership and Innovation returns through a weekend-school model that can be completed by distance learning combined with weekend attendance, making it realistic for educators who are already in post. Beyond the weekend school, the college also offers a blended approach that combines part attendance on campus with part online study, giving working learners more than one way to fit a qualification around their commitments.

Also returning are the M.Sc. in the Business of Fashion, the BA in Early Childhood Education, and both the Undergraduate Diploma and Master in Anti-Money Laundering, the latter speaking directly to one of Malta’s most active professional sectors.

Built around local lives

The thread running through the October intake is accessibility, both academically and practically. There are entry points for learners at every level, the fields on offer span the sectors that matter most to the Maltese economy, and delivery models such as weekend schools, blended attendance and distance learning are designed around people balancing study with work and family commitments. For local students weighing up where to invest their time, the offer is refreshingly straightforward: one college that can take them from a first foundation qualification all the way to a doctorate.

How to apply

Applications for the October intake are open now and interested candidates can visit our website https://mt.ideaeducation.com/ and find any programme of their choosing. Each course page has a direct application link so that our team can reach out.

Prospective students and the agents supporting them are encouraged to contact IDEA College to discuss programme options, entry requirements and the progression route that best fits their goals. Whether the goal is a first qualification, a career change, or a doctorate years down the line, the October intake is designed to meet learners where they are and take them further.  More information to follow, stay tuned.
