Valencia is a beautiful city located on the east coast of Spain. It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and is a perfect place to spend the summer vacations.

Moreover, at Christmas time, Valencia is full of lights, a festive atmosphere, and thousands of fantastic plans to enjoy the Spanish Christmas.

  1. Have a walk around the city to discover the Christmas decorations: trees, lights and nativity scenes

The Town Hall Square harbors a 25-meter-high Christmas tree, a nativity scene with life-size pieces, a carousel for children, and an ice skating rink, all decorated with hundreds of lights and Christmas ornaments. Even the facade of the Town Hall!

The city is fully dressed for Christmas, especially the busiest streets, such as La Paz Street, Colón Street with all its stores and beautiful shop windows, the City of Arts and Sciences, the Municipal Markets...

There are modern and classic trees in every square decorated in different ways. And if you want to discover the more traditional side, you can visit various nativity scenes that you can find set up in the streets or in some emblematic buildings, such as the City Hall itself or the building of the Diputación Valenciana.

  1.  Enjoy the Christmas concerts and shop at the Christmas markets

Valencia is a land of music and offers hundreds of concerts to celebrate the holidays in the streets, in churches, or in important places of the city, such as the Mercado Colón, the Palau de la Música.

In addition, walking around the city, you will find Christmas markets with craft stands, traditional food, and beautiful gifts for the holidays.

The most popular are the one in the City of Arts and Sciences, the one in Plaza de la Virgen, and the one in Tapinería.

  1. Ride the funfair

And if you prefer a more active activity, in the Port of Valencia, in the Marina, there is a Christmas Amusement Fair. Enjoy an afternoon with family or friends. Imagine seeing the city full of lights from the top of the Ferris wheel.
