GBS Malta Students Champion Inclusion at International Peer Support Training

  Publisher : Bernice   13 May 2025 06:51

GBS Malta, one of Europe’s most dynamic higher education institutions, is celebrating a proud moment as two of its MBA students, Festus Alonge (MBA Project Management) and Ibe Unoma Isioma (MBA Marketing), took part in the recent Language Buddy Mentor Training programme held in Malta. This impactful initiative brought together 24 students from eight countries for a three-day immersive experience focused on fostering peer support for young people with migrant and refugee backgrounds.

Far from being a typical workshop, the Language Buddy Mentor Training is part of a wider movement promoting empathy, social inclusion, and intercultural understanding. Through storytelling, collaborative learning, and connection-building activities, the participants were empowered to become mentors, advocates, and changemakers within their communities and beyond.

At GBS Malta, the emphasis isn’t just on academic excellence – it’s on shaping well-rounded, socially aware graduates who are ready to make a difference. The success of Festus and Ibe exemplifies the institution’s values: compassion, diversity, and leadership.

Located in the heart of St. Julian’s, GBS Malta offers a portfolio of career-focused higher education programmes, including undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in business, healthcare, and IT. The institution prides itself on offering a supportive, inclusive learning environment that attracts students from across Europe, Africa, Asia, and beyond. It’s this cultural richness that makes the GBS Malta student experience so unique – and so valuable for today’s global workplace.

For agents seeking an institution that balances academic rigour with real-world impact, GBS Malta stands out as a top choice. The success stories of students like Festus and Ibe only reinforce its commitment to empowering future leaders who not only excel in their careers, but also uplift their communities.
