At English Path we've been brainstorming and it's time to show you what we've come up with!

Happy Eid from English Path Dubai! As we started Ramadan in March, we had hopes of a successful month, and it really was! With the help of James (Student Experience Manager) and Sam (BDM), we have been brainstorming and developing some new initiatives and future events for Careers, and in April, we worked hard to implement some of these, while also preparing for more initiatives that are still in the pipeline.

Accessibility to Resources & Job Opportunities

Applying for jobs is one thing, however, nowadays there are various ways of knowing what jobs are available and how to stand out. During March and April, considerable effort was put into personally sending multiple students job links for various positions that fit with the students' unique and diverse professional profiles and backgrounds. An info sheet on the top growing industries in Dubai and the best websites to use, was sent together with an info sheet on the importance of networking.

In this current Digital Revolution, Anesu has also made it a point to send various roles from all industries to students through the Jobs and Accommodation group chat, making sure that even students that have not gotten the chance to have one-on-one sessions with her yet have access to available options and can get access to resources instantly. This approach has boosted students’ interest in booking one-on-one sessions and coming in for career advice, CV preparation, and editing. Anesu also launched a LinkedIn Student Spotlighting initiative where students that worked with Anesu and have unique backgrounds and experiences are spotlighted on LinkedIn, sharing their LinkedIn profiles and their availability to work in Dubai along with a brief summary of their standout skills and achievements.

Our Career Goals: More Networking and Events

On March 30th, English Path students were accompanied by Anesu to the Myriad Career Launch Pad: Student Edition. 21 students attended. They had the opportunity to be interviewed by 5 different companies that were in tech, finance, luxury hospitality, and videography. We were also given a stall as EP, so Anesu was able to share with students what we are all about! It was also an amazing networking opportunity with the other companies, so we hope to partner with them too. They showed a lot of interest in having access to our CV database and possibly coming for a recruitment event.
