Carmel College New Zealand has officially opened enrolment applications for the 2027 academic year, offering an excellent opportunity for education agents supporting families seeking a high quality Catholic education for girls in Auckland.
As a well regarded state integrated school with a strong academic reputation, Carmel College continues to attract interest from both local and international families. Early engagement is strongly encouraged due to high demand and limited availability across year levels.
Applications for the 2027 intake are now open and must be submitted via the official electronic enrolment form. All required supporting documentation must be attached at the time of application to ensure the application can be fully assessed.
The final date for submitting enrolment applications is 13 March 2026. Due to ongoing roll pressure, applications received after this date will only be considered later in the year if places become available. A waitlist will be maintained, with offers dependent on space availability.
For 2027, Carmel College will enrol 170 students into Year 7. There will also be a limited number of places available for girls in other year levels. All enrolments are managed in accordance with the school’s Enrolment Scheme, which outlines placement priorities and preference criteria.
Agents are advised to familiarise themselves with the Enrolment Scheme when advising families, particularly those seeking preference of enrolment.
The enrolment timeline for 2027 is as follows:
Enrolments opened on 27 January 2026
Open Day and School Tours will take place on 26 February 2026 from 1.30 to 3.00pm and on 27 February 2026 from 9.30 to 11.00am
Enrolments close on 13 March 2026
Offers of place will be issued on 27 March 2026
The deadline to confirm acceptance of a place is 24 April 2026
Welcome Meetings will be held on 16 June 2026, 18 June 2026 and 20 June 2026
Orientation Day for Year 7 students entering in 2027 will be held on 6 November 2026
Families are encouraged to attend an Open Day to gain a deeper understanding of the school environment, academic approach and pastoral care. Registration is required in advance.
Carmel College operates under a Catholic preference system. To be considered for preference of enrolment, applications must include a valid Preference Certificate signed by the family’s Catholic parish priest.
Applications under the Significant Familial Adult Involvement in the Life of the Parish criterion are processed centrally by the Diocese. Supporting evidence is required and must be submitted using the approved diocesan form.
Agents should ensure families are aware that preference documentation must be completed and submitted correctly to avoid delays or changes to enrolment status.
All enrolment applications are welcomed and assessed carefully. Carmel College works closely with families to guide them through the process and answer any questions.
