  Publisher : Bernice   05 May 2026 06:38

Located right in the heart of the city, ACCORD is more than just a classroom; it is a leading Paris school dedicated to teaching French as a foreign language. Since its creation in 1988, the school has set a benchmark for high standard teaching, and it has been awarded the official "Qualité FLE" label from the French Ministry.

Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to improve your French language skills, offering French instruction that works is our mission. We believe that to truly learn a language, you need an environment that fosters confidence, so we use a more natural and dynamic teaching method than a standard academic setting. We welcome international students from all over the globe, creating a multicultural atmosphere where the common goal is to master the language of Molière.

Why should you learn French in Paris?

Paris offers the perfect setting for language learning. When classes are finished and you step out of school, the city becomes your teacher. You’re doing so much more than just memorising grammar rules, you’re living the French culture!

Imagine testing your vocabulary while ordering in local bistros, exploring a famous musée, or wandering through the artistic streets of Montmartre. Every arrondissement has its own vibe. You might spend your afternoon shopping in the Marais or or people watching over a coffee near the Seine.

You may be able to study French away from Paris, but real fluency comes from context. Whilst you’re here, you are constantly practicing French, reading street signs, listening to announcements, and chatting with locals. It is the difference between knowing a language and living it.

What can you expect from studying French in Paris?

Expect to be challenged and inspired. Our goal is to help you achieve a high level of French proficiency through complete immersion.

A typical week involves intensive coursework to help you progress to the next language level. We also adapt to your learning style or as we call it, French as you like, using debates and role plays as practical exercises to prepare you to explore Paris and its famous landmarks.

Our dual approach enables you to soak up all the nuances of French language and civilisation: cours de langue et découverte culturelle (language courses and cultural discovery). By the end of your stay, the goal is to feel comfortable speaking French in any situation, from a formal meeting to a casual chat at a bakery.

How do I test my level of French?

Understanding your current ability is the first step. Accord bases its assessments on the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR).

We help you track your progress whether you want to achieve a B1 or B2 level or striving for advanced fluency. Many of our French students are working towards an official diploma like the DELF or DALF.

  • Before you start your course, we assess your French level to place you in the right class.

  • Your teachers monitor your progress in class on a weekly basis.

  • We can support you on your journey to an official, such as TCF, DELF or DALF.

We use the framework of reference for languages to ensure your skills, comprehension, writing and speaking are recognised internationally. Whether you’re with us for a few weeks or several months, you will leave with a clear understanding of your achievements in français.
