Testimonial Thursday: How Visit Malta uses the S&A platform

  Publisher : Bernice   10 September 2026 08:27

Some of the partnerships we value most at Schools & Agents are those that develop beyond a single campaign or service. They allow us to understand an organisation, its objectives and its audience, and then support different areas of its marketing as and when they are needed. Our work with Visit Malta is a good example of exactly that.

We are extremely proud of our partnership with Visit Malta and of the different ways in which the organisation has used the S&A platform and our marketing expertise to promote Malta and its international education offering. From strategic marketing support and permanent website visibility to SEO content and branded email communication, the collaboration demonstrates how organisations within international education can make use of several S&A services together while retaining complete flexibility over what they need.

Sharing international education marketing expertise

One important element of our relationship with Visit Malta is the marketing expertise that S&A brings to the partnership. Having worked exclusively within international education for many years, we understand that marketing an education destination requires a very specific approach. The audiences are varied, the sales cycle can be lengthy and organisations frequently need to communicate with education agents, students, parents, schools and other industry stakeholders in different ways.

S&A provides consultation and marketing support to Visit Malta in relation to its ELT segment whenever this is required. This allows their team to draw on our experience of international student recruitment, education agent engagement, content marketing and digital communication when considering particular campaigns or marketing activities.

This type of consultancy is also available to other organisations in the international education sector. We can support an existing marketing department with particular areas of expertise, provide additional resources during busy periods or help identify gaps in a strategy that may be preventing an organisation from achieving the visibility or engagement it wants.

Permanent visibility across the S&A website

Visit Malta also has a clickable banner appearing throughout the S&A website. This means that visitors browsing different sections of Schools & Agents are given a direct route to the Visit Malta website, rather than the organisation appearing only alongside one particular article or campaign.

For a destination looking to remain visible to an international education audience, this type of ongoing presence provides continuity. S&A attracts education professionals from markets around the world, so having a permanent clickable presence allows Visit Malta to remain accessible while those visitors are reading industry news, exploring member content or discovering information elsewhere on the platform.

It is a simple form of promotion, but one that works particularly well as part of a wider marketing strategy because it keeps the destination visible beyond individual campaign dates.

Twelve SEO optimised articles promoting ELT in Malta

Content has formed another substantial part of our collaboration. Visit Malta commissioned S&A to produce a series of 12 SEO optimised articles focusing on different aspects of Malta's English Language Teaching industry.

Rather than simply providing advertising space, our team researched, structured and wrote the content on behalf of Visit Malta. The aim was to create useful articles that could help prospective students and other audiences discover more about Malta as an English language learning destination while also strengthening the organisation's online content around relevant search topics.

An important part of this service is ownership. When S&A is commissioned to create content on behalf of a client, the finished material belongs entirely to that client. Visit Malta can therefore publish, repurpose, share or incorporate these articles into its wider communications in whichever way best suits its marketing plans.

This can be particularly valuable for organisations that know they need more optimised content but may not have the time or specialist resources internally to research and produce it consistently.

Branded newsletters managed from design to delivery

Email marketing is another area in which Visit Malta has used S&A's services. The organisation commissioned us to help communicate with its own database through fully branded newsletters created specifically for Visit Malta.

S&A designs the newsletters, prepares the content and layout for approval and then schedules the approved campaigns to be distributed on a monthly basis. Visit Malta maintains control over the messaging and final approval, while our team takes care of the practical marketing work required to turn that information into an attractive and professional email campaign.

For organisations with valuable contact databases, consistency is often one of the greatest challenges. There may be plenty to communicate, but finding the internal time to prepare, format and schedule regular newsletters can become difficult. Having an external team manage that process allows communication to continue without placing additional pressure on existing staff.

More than one way to use S&A

Our partnership with Visit Malta illustrates something we often discuss with clients: working with S&A does not have to mean choosing one fixed marketing service.

Some organisations come to us because they need greater visibility among education agents. Others need help creating SEO content, improving their social media, writing newsletters, reviewing their communication strategy or developing stronger digital marketing campaigns. In other cases, an established marketing department simply needs an extra pair of experienced hands to help manage part of its workload.

The right solution depends entirely on what is missing.

S&A works specifically within international education, which means our support combines marketing knowledge with an understanding of the sector itself. We know the audiences, the relationships, the events, the terminology and the way schools, agents, destinations and service providers communicate with one another. This allows us to step into projects without requiring clients to explain the fundamentals of how the international education industry operates.

Are there gaps in your marketing strategy?

Your marketing department does not necessarily need to do everything internally.

Perhaps you need more regular SEO content but do not have a dedicated writer. You might have a strong database but rarely find the time to communicate with it. Your organisation may need greater visibility among international education agents, or you may simply want an experienced external perspective on your current marketing strategy.

That is where S&A can step in.

We can work alongside your existing marketing team, take responsibility for individual projects or help you develop a broader strategy depending on what your organisation needs. The objective is not to replace what is already working, but to fill the gaps, bring specialist international education knowledge where it is useful and help your marketing activity achieve more.

If there is an area of your marketing that you feel could be working harder, speak to us. There may be a much simpler solution than you think.
