The International Association of Language Centres (IALC) is delighted to welcome three new members: Tico Lingo Spanish School in Heredia, Costa Rica, GT EDUCATIONAL CENTER in Chicago, US, and Celas Maya in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.
The inclusion of these 3 new members expands IALC’s representation to 28 countries worldwide.
With each school bringing a strong commitment to academic excellence, cultural immersion, and student-centred learning, their addition further enhances IALC’s global network of schools delivering high-quality language education experiences.
Situated in the heart of Heredia, nestled among volcanoes and coffee plantations, Tico Lingo provides students with an authentic Costa Rican experience. The school combines small-group, communicative Spanish classes with carefully selected homestays, cultural workshops, and educational tours.
Tico Lingo’s Program Director, Chris Reidy shared: “Becoming part of IALC means joining a global family of high-quality schools dedicated to creating life-changing experiences for language learners around the world. We truly feel proud and excited to learn from this amazing network and look forward to contributing meaningfully to its continued growth and impact!”
Celas Maya is nestled in the western highlands of Guatemala in the city of Quetzaltenango, a place rich in traditions and a strong sense of community. The school provides an immersive Spanish experience through homestays, volunteering opportunities, and cultural activities, with one-on-one classes or in small groups.
Celas Maya’s School Director, Federico Velasquez commented: “Joining IALC was a thoughtful and strategic decision. We see it as a network of schools that shares our core values: academic quality, cultural immersion, and human connection. IALC represents all of that — and above all, it builds trust with our students and partners.”
GT Educational Center is situated in the vibrant heart of Chicago, a city renowned for its world-class museums, breathtaking lakefront, thriving arts and music scene, and iconic architecture. The school provides intimate, student-focused classes, led by skilled native-speaking instructors who use a communicative teaching method, with dedicated days for exploring the city.
Klaudia Wheadon at GT Educational Cente added: “Being part of IALC allows us to connect with like-minded schools, exchange best practices, and offer our students even more opportunities worldwide. We’re excited and proud to be part of such a respected organization.”
