Rod Camm and Georgina Mccann open New Horizon's 3rd CRICOS School in Melbourne

Starting the year with the first International cohorts about to commence across the country, New Horizons Melbourne celebrated the opening of the school on Friday 19 January with over 30 International Education Agents and ELICOS Partners present.


Students will commence next week, coinciding with Australia Day. "We’re really excited to welcome the students and to make them feel at home and to be part of their career journey and experience in Australia." Says General Manager Melbourne, Cassandra Parton


Georgina McCann, Senior Manager, Strategy and Policy for International Education at Victorian Department Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources provided an overview of initiatives to support international students while they’re here in Victoria, in particular reminding guests of the Study Melbourne Student Centre where international students can access information on accommodation, health, employment and legal questions. Their goal is to help students connect with the community and host monthly free events and activities to support students.


Rod Camm, CEO of the Australian Council for Private Education & Training (ACPET) shared with guests ACPET's vision for 2018, and their desire to rebuilding confidence in the industry. "We're proud to be here to support New Horizons, as they demonstrate their desire for quality, and to put the interests of students first" said Rod Camm.
