Gateway School of English: February FAM trip

Published Lynne Farrugia on Wednesday, February 21, 2018

GSE held its annual FAM trip between the 9th and 13th February 2018 and welcomed 27 agents from 16 different countries. This was a representation of the diverse nationalities of the students that study at Gateway School of English all year round. After all, GSE is renowned for its excellent mix of nationalities in its classrooms.

While all participants visited the school and its adjacent school residence, some were also lucky enough to stay at the adult school residence, experiencing the high quality accommodation provided by the school first hand. Participants also visited the junior residence, where junior students visiting GSE in summer can opt to stay. Agents also visited host families located within walking distance from the school.

During the FAM trip, participants got to visit the most popular tourist attractions across the Maltese Islands, such as the Citadella and former Azure Window site in Gozo, Marsaxlokk Fishing Village on Sunday, a traditional band club in the quaint village of Zurrieq before proceeding to visit the Blue Grotto and the Hagar Qim and Mnajdra temples (the world’s oldest free standing religious structures) as well as the beautiful Three Cities area.  The places visited were mostly locations which students get to see during their stay at GSE as part of the weekly social programme which the school organises for students wishing to experience Malta’s heritage during their free time.
