"Dive In": The School of Wine and Spirits Business welcomed 80 students from 12 different nationalities at the Château de Gilly this September

September 2018. The School of Wine & Spirits Business (SWSB) commenced the new academic year by revealing its new signature slogan: "Dive In – In Burgundy, Inside Wine & Spirits". The slogan is an invitation for student to immerse themselves in the privileged environment of wine and spirits, the School, its expertise and networks, as well as Burgundy's exceptional winegrowing region.

Mid-September marked the beginning of this process when this year’s 80 students in the MBA Wine & Spirits Business and MSc Wine Management degrees spent an unforgettable day at the Château de Gilly.

The new signature slogan is SWSB’s commitment which positions it at the heart of its expertise: Burgundy wine, Burgundy terroir, management and know-how. The commitment is bolstered by a strong foundation which is deeply rooted in the renowned region of Burgundy, as well as the School’s history, its international recognition, far-reaching networks and unique facilities built for its specific needs.

The signature slogan "Dive In – In Burgundy, Inside Wine & Spirits" is also a visual identity, particularly pleasing to the eye, which offers a concrete immersion in the worlds of wine, spirits and Champagne. It accompanies SWSB’s message that it is a key player in the domain of wines and spirits management within a global context.

Memorable start to the new academic year for 8O international students at the Château de Gilly

The two all-English degrees on offer at the SWSB, the MBA in Wine & Spirits Business (with its first ever class), and the MSc Wine Management, started the school year mid-September in the idyllic setting of the Château de Gilly. 80 students from 12 different nationalities (German, Chinese, American, French, Greek, Indian, Italian, Norwegian, New-Zealand, Peruvian, Russian, and Vietnamese) had the opportunity to attend an inspiring conference given by the famous sommelier and television celebrity, Raùl Diaz, meet SWSB alumni and participate in a wonderful blind tasting. They also took advantage of exchanging with Jean-François Curie (BSB 85), CEO of Maison Boisset – from the family Great Wines and sponsor of this year’s class.

About the School of Wine & Spirits Business (SWSB): Created in 2013, the SWSB groups together Burgundy School of Business’ degree and research activities in wine and spirits management. The institute is an international reference in its domain, with its roots in the region of Burgundy with its Climats and Terroirs subscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. More than 180 students from some 20 nationalities across all five continents are trained every year in one of the SWSB's degree programmes: Specialised Master in International Wine and Spirits Trade (taught in French), MBA Wine & Spirits Business, the MSc Wine Management and the Wine Tourism specialisation in the Bachelor Marketing & the Business, all taught in English. The SWSB has its own facilities including the Wine & Spirits Business Lab, Tasting Room, Cellar, etc., and boasts and expert faculty.
