Marketing Monday: What Details to Share on #Intled Event Profiles

  Publisher : Lynne   27 March 2023 10:00

When attending industry events or setting up company profiles, there are some people who prefer to give out the general company email address, or what we call “the info email address”, and there are others who choose to give out their personal details. Each to his own, however, we would generally suggest giving out your direct contact info.

There are several reasons why it can be a better idea to give out your direct email address and contact info to clients rather than the general company one:

Personalization: By giving out your direct email address, you can personalize your communication with clients. This helps to build a stronger relationship with clients and make them feel valued. It also allows clients to contact you directly with any questions or concerns they may have. This tends to make people trust you more, hence being more prone to doing business with you.

Control: By using your direct email address, you can control the flow of communication between you and your clients. This can help to avoid miscommunication or misunderstandings that may arise when using a general company email address. If a client sends an email to an “info” email address, it can get picked up by someone else who might not have had the original conversation with the client, thus leading to a lot of red tape and miscommunication to reach the right person.

Efficiency: By using your direct email address, you can ensure that communication with clients is efficient and timely. This can help to improve customer satisfaction and build a positive reputation for you as a business leader and your company.

Branding: Using your direct email address can help to reinforce your personal brand and establish yourself as a trusted professional in your field. This can help to build credibility and attract more clients to your business.
