Scuola Leonardo Dante

We are happy and excited to announce the start of "A week with Dante Alighieri".

On the occasion of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death, the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci of Florence joins the numerous celebrations all around the world by offering a new course dedicated to Dante.

Our program, with the figure of Dante always at the center, combines the Italian language and culture. A unique opportunity to get to know Italy through the eyes of one of the greatest poets.

Our journey could only start from Florence, birthplace of the poet. Our teachers Carla Falciani and Monica Gentili will guide the students to discover the Italian language and culture to discover the all-Italian beauties.

Carla's lessons will have a careful look at the works of the Supreme Poet and his role in the birth of the Italian language.

The lessons of Monica, our art historian, will focus on art. Monica will guide our students in the most significant locations in Florence. Our itinerary includes a walk through the Renaissance streets and a visit to the exhibitions dedicated to Dante Alighieri, spread on this anniversary all over the city.

And to complete our journey to discover Dante, Monica will accompany the students to Ravenna: the city where the poet ended his exile and left his remains.

An interesting, unforgettable, exclusive week, totally immersed in art and culture, which will end with a very special dinner based on a typical medieval menu!

Students can join us in discovering Dante:

- from the 27th of September to the 1st of October 2021

- from the 25th to the 29th of October 2021
