Wimbledon Local Children Support

Wimbledon School of English has been providing English language training programmes to students from overseas since 1964, but travel and other Covid restrictions have meant a loss of around 85% of their core business.

However, not to be daunted, they have decided to use their extensive teaching experience to help local children whose education may have fallen behind over the last 18 months to catch up with their maths and English learning.  They have teamed up with First Class Learning Southfields to open a designated English & maths learning centre for children.

Asim Sibtain & Faisal Razvi, who run First Class Learning Southfields, said ‘we are delighted to be working with such a well-known, quality school and we are sure that our combined experience will result in a great service for local parents and children.’  Jane Dancaster, WSE’s Managing Director added ‘We are very excited about this new initiative.  We were very impressed by the First Class Learning English and maths tutoring programme and the dedication and care shown by Asim and Faisal in their centre.  They seemed the perfect partners for WSE.’

The Wimbledon School of English English & Maths Learning Centre runs every Tuesday and Wednesday from 16:00 to 18:00 each week to provide professional, effective, and accessible maths and English tutoring for primary and secondary school children (up to GCSE level).
