Partnership between Macmillan and Quality English

QE is delighted to announce a new corporate partnership with Macmillan Education which is designed to bring additional exclusive benefits to its licensed schools and colleges.

The collaboration includes weekly webinars from academic experts on a wide range of topics as well as the new QE Digital Awards and weekly drop-in sessions for QE schools. The webinar topics so far have been “Making the most of materials and resources in an online context”, “IELTS and exam prep in an online world” and “Developing our students’ academic writing skills”.

The Quality English Digital Awards are designed to recognise excellence in online teaching, online school management, marketing and administration.

The first QE Digital Award winner, for “Excellence in Online Teaching, was announced last week and went to Allison Steven from Live Language in Glasgow. Allison’s contribution to her school’s online provision has been outstanding and she was a worthy winner of a set of methodology books from Macmillan.

Speaking about the partnership, QE Chief Executive, Jonathan Swindell commented:

“We always aim to add value and benefits to the QE licence and this is another example of that. Macmillan Education offer a wide range of excellent materials and resources which our schools are very familiar with, and when they offered to support our schools with their transition to online learning, to supplement face-to-face tuition, it was an opportunity not to be missed. The team at Macmillan have been incredibly generous with their time and effort and we are thrilled to be working with them.”

Steve Tulk, ELT Consultant with Macmillan Education added, "In the ELT world, the Quality English logo has long been the sign of academic excellence. Macmillan Education are thrilled to be working with the QE team on the delivery of a wide range of support for teachers and schools who are adapting to the ‘new normal’.

Training and development is an important part of how Macmillan supports the ELT industry.  We are delivering a range of webinars exclusively for Quality English schools – presented by exceptional speakers from all areas of the ELT industry.  The number of teachers, academic managers and school managers who have signed up to attend these sessions confirms the commitment to development and excellence within the Quality English network.

We are very excited by this partnership, and look forward to developing our relationship with Quality English."
