Londonist new Old Street Residence in London

Londonist DMC is pleased to announce that for summer 2019 we will have a number of new residences for your convenience. In today’s blog we are going to start by turning the spotlight to one of these accommodation options, specifically our new residence in Old Street.

What can one expect to find here?

The Old Street residence is situated in Zone 1 in London, which makes it very centrally located. In fact, it is just a short walk away from Hoxton, Shoreditch, Liverpool Street and Brick Lane, which are the most vibrant and trendy areas in the East part of London. The area itself is surrounded by many cafes, restaurants, food and vintage markets, thus making it a paradise for those students who are looking to immerse themselves in the London culture and way of life.

Transportation from this area

Old Street is also very well-connected in terms of transportation. In fact, there are three tube stations which are all less than 10 minutes away on foot.

- Old Street Tube Station – 6 min walk

- Liverpool Street Tube Station – 7 min walk

- Moorgate Tube Station – 8 min walk

Residents at Old Street can also easily access some of the biggest London Universities, including:

- London Met (Moorgate Campus) – 9 min walk

- Cass Business School – 9 min walk

- Coventry University (London Campus) – 13 min walk

- City University – 17 minutes via bus

- London School of Economics (LSE) – 23 min via tube

The Rooms

What can one expect to find in these rooms? Well, like all Londonist accommodation options, this too is of a very high standard. We refer to these types of rooms as Silver Rooms, and they are approximately 18 SQM in size. These student rooms come with compact double beds, en-suite bathrooms, a study area, storage space and a private kitchenette. The rooms include a compact double bed, a desk, a chair, a wardrobe, a drawer unit and a magnetic board. The en-suite bathrooms contain a shower, toilet and sink. The private kitchenettes have a breakfast bar with 2 bar stools, a 2 ring hob, a combination microwave oven, a sink and a fridge with freezer compartment.
