Genki New Japanese School in Kyoto

Genki Japanese and Culture School (GenkiJACS) will open the newest branch of their multi-award winning Japanese language school in Kyoto on the 3rd of June 2019. Following in the tradition of GenkiJACS' other branches, the new school is right in the centre of the city, only minutes on foot from the beautiful Gion and downtown Kawaramachi districts, and a short ride to Kyoto station.

This is what our director, Evan Kirby, says about this development:

"We're really excited to show our new Kyoto school to everyone! Kyoto is a world-class destination, and an incredible city. When added to our current schools in Fukuoka and Tokyo, this lets our agent partners offer schools in all the major areas of Japan. Students are welcome to travel the length of the country, studying with GenkiJACS everywhere they stop!"

GenkiJACS began operating in 2005, and has grown in popularity ever since. As a testament to the excellence of its service, the company has been shortlisted to receive the prestigious STM Star Award for World Language School every year since 2009, winning this award in 2016 and 2018. The school provides only the highest level of service, and makes sure that every GenkiJACS student has a full, supported and enriching experience of Japan.

Students will have access to 9 newly built-for-purpose classrooms, a spacious open-plan student lounge and the convenience that comes with being right in the centre of the city.  Accommodation is available in homestays, guesthouses, dormitories and private apartments, and the school offers a full program of social and cultural activities in the heart of Japan's cultural capital. Students will receive the same excellent standard of teaching they expect when studying at GenkiJACS. The maximum number of students per class never goes beyond 9 and the individualised approach to learning ensures students do not just learn but also acquire the language.
