Laurel Springs Dreams

Leading online private K-12 school partners with Ghana-based soccer academy to help keep the dream of a high-caliber U.S. education alive amid COVID-19 crisis.

Imagine being awarded a scholarship to a prestigious school in the United States and not being able to attend because of travel restrictions. This is what many students of the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana were facing as a result of the pandemic.

Right to Dream is an international charitable organization that provides elite soccer training, character development, and educational opportunities for youth athletes in West Africa. Every year, their students are able to live their dream of continuing their education with the support of scholarships. However, the closures of schools and inability to travel threatened to hinder these dreams—that is, until Laurel Springs got involved.

Laurel Springs partnered with Right to Dream to help provide online education to these West African student-athletes. Not only will this partnership provide students with U.S. scholarship opportunities, but a continued relationship will enhance the soccer academy’s ongoing academic offerings.
