Berlitz Malta Third Prize

Berlitz Language Centre Malta has been awarded the 3rd Prize of the European Language Label by the Erasmus+, EUPA & European Commission.

The European Language Label is an initiative of the European Union, promoting foreign language learning. It was introduced by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Education and Culture, in relation to the 1995 White Paper on Life and Learning: Towards a Learning Society. It is awarded to local, regional, and national projects that have found creative ways to improve the quality of language teaching motivate students, make the best use of available resources to diversify the languages on offer, and other innovative initiatives.

We are honored that the Berlitz Language Centre Malta was the only language school in Malta which has received recognition in the European Language Label award.


Name of Project submitted:  ‘’Berlitz Method ® as very effective and unique teaching method implemented in Malta’’.

The award ceremony took place on 1st August 2019 at Fortress Builders, Valletta Malta. Hon. Dr Aaron Farrugia, Parliamentary Secretary for EU Funds and Social Dialogue and Mr. Joseph Schembri Chief Executive Officer, MT National Agency, National Coordinator Erasmus+ Programme presented the award to Magdalena Kasperowicz-Swanson and Ruth Bonnici of Berlitz Language Centre Malta.  Malta Language Studies Ltd is part of the Edrichton Group of companies.
