In today's interview we speak to Andrew Lennox, President of Glasgow and Global Schools of English

When did Glasgow and Global Schools of English start and where are you based?

Glasgow School of English began in 1997 (and is in Glasgow, obviously!).  Global School of English is in Edinburgh and started in 2010.

 

What would you say are your USP’s?

Low cost/ high quality, city centre location and small class sizes.

 

Which are your flagship courses?

General English, IELTS Preparation, Cambridge FCE and CAE, Edinburgh homestay group programme (all year) and Edinburgh homestay 50 plus programme (all year).

 

Who are your students?

Young adults, adults and seniors from around the world. Most Arabic students are sponsored by their governments. Other foreign students, individuals or family groups pay themselves or are supported by European funded programmes.

 

What kinds of accommodation options do you offer to your students?

Home stay, student residential, B/B hotel of higher grade hotel to suit the client and the budget.

 

What kinds of activities do you organise for your students?
Both Schools offer a weekly social programme to visit museums and  a wide range of places of interest.

 

Which markets are you interested in?

Worldwide – we have students from almost every corner of the world. It’s one of the main attractions of our schools for students: they get to meet people from different cultures and backgrounds.
